In Bloom

The cherry blossoms are in bloom and this popular flower motif has made its way onto a bevy of home products such as vases, rugs, bedding and wallpaper but if you are the type of person who prefers a more subtle nod to these Spring blooms, then check out L'Occitane's Cherry Blossom Room Spray.

YO DADDY-O! KID KUSTOMS

Check these wheels out! A-Parent-ly DAWS (Dad's Against Whack Strollers) started building custom tricked out rides for those little Ed Hardy wearing tikes. FINALLY! This model is inspired by 1950's automotive detailing. With a price tag of around $2K, you will be needing your own "Rock of Love".

This is what the makers, Pinstripe Prep, say about it...
"Kid Kustoms is expanding their accessory line with a new style to add to their interchangeable rear fender package. Dubbed, the Traditional ’59, it borrows its design cues from the glitzy grandeur that was the American classic automobile of the 1950’s. The rocket fins feature functional lights that are illuminated by applying the use of the disk brakes. They can be ordered with Kustom graphics, chrome trim packages and chrome badges to further personalize your Roddler. The ’59 fenders are available on a base model for a moderate up charge, or as a second pair for your ride. Contact your authorized dealer for more information, or order them directly from Kid Kustoms."

Shoe Wheel

The Shoe Wheel by Rakku is a storage solution for the Carrie Bradshaw in you. It has 20 expandable pockets that can hold up to 30 pairs of shoes. Shoes are inserted into the pockets through elastic bands and the pockets can be adjusted to fit the size of your shoe...then all you need to do is rotate the wheel to choose your kicks for the day.

Fierce Win

All good things must come to an end and for me that means the last episode of this season's Project Runway. Last night was the season finale and wait for it....wait for it.....Christian won. Victoria Beckham was the guest judge and she gushed over Christian's collection. A taste of things to come? Perhaps. If you listen to the rumor mill she is in talks with Fox to have her own reality fashion show called Fashion Nightmares.

Color Chart

"Color Chart: Reinventing color, 1950 to Today" is a new exhibit at MoMA. Featuring work by 40 artists, Color Chart celebrates the excitement of color as a mass-produced and standardized product. Many of the show's artists looked at the automobile industry's "commercial palette" as their inspiration. The show inevitably makes the point of questioning whether our experience of color is increasingly dictated by corporations and consultancies like Pantone and the Color Marketing Group.

Wunderbloc

Wonderbloc, a shopping site dedicated to the NYC boutique community has launched and we are all the better for it. Not only does it allow shoppers to search for boutiques by neighborhood, it allows you to look inside the stores to view their offerings. It is also a tool for boutique owners to communicate with one another, network and share resources. Perhaps one of the best sections of the site is Fashionista which hosts pictures of every day fashion risk takers in all their glory.
